Operational & Sustainability Model

  • On-Campus Model - Truly Voluntary Contribution: COSS-IN provides expert mentorship even with zero financial contribution from institutions. Institutions may support the initiative through voluntary contributions—financial or in-kind. We prioritize building a strong Indian Open Source Community over funding.
  • Off-Campus Model - For students without access to On-Campus COSS-IN programs, we offer a structured mentorship track with guided learning, open-source projects and career-focused preparation on a nominal fee. This enables committed learners to accelerate their growth while contributing to the open-source ecosystem.
  • Funds Utilization - 100% transparent use of funds for infrastructure, mentoring, stipends, repository hosting, project hosting, security audits, and national-level initiatives.
